Digital Photography 102: Going Beyond the Basics
July 26, 28, August 2 and 4 at 6-9pm
with a photo shoot on July 31

This intermediate digital photography class refines the technical and aesthetic skills offered in our basic course. It focuses on the more complex aspects of exposure, metering, lighting, perspective, and composition while improving photographic concept and vision.

Develop a personal photographic style and come up with a good portfolio through this workshop. Each participant may choose a project dealing with people, still life, macro, architecture, and other photographic subjects. Some sessions will involve image review and critique, including suggestions for improvement, to assist participants in the mastery and development of their chosen projects.

Each participant will produce an edited and cohesive presentation of his portfolio for the final session of the class. A guest photographer-speaker will help in the portfolio review and share additional tips on both the art of photography and portfolio presentation.

As an added perk, a solo exhibit for the workshop participant with the most impressive portfolio will be mounted at The Alcove photo gallery.

 Basic knowledge of digital photography/have taken Digital Photography 101 or an equivalent course
 Digital SLR camera
