The graduate class of UP Diliman MFA 216 - Advanced Problems in 3D Art, under the mentorship of installation artist and faculty advisor Ling Quisumbing Ramilo, opens its studio doors to fellow artists and students alike, in an exhibition titled VIII.
VIII is a peek into how each member of the class has interpreted the 3D space, exploring individual themes to interpret experience through varied media.
As an open studio, VIII represents the Master of Fine Arts classroom, where critique and commentary are actively sought, for the sake of further refining skill and sensibility, to communicate a particular theme through 3D art.
Viewers will find sculpture, installation, film, and assemblage spread through Joya Hall, the RGEP Room, including the garden between them, presenting the distinct concerns and expressions of each artist.
