People have scrupulous tastes and preferred favors when it comes to palatable dishes. Most associate their well-beings with the menu’s ingredients, flavors and garnishing. Food and relationships are associated with each other and best served hot or cold on platters to lavish or rebuff. CAFÉ SPECIALS is a complete dining experience serving a luscious blend of food and people’s follies in relationships. It is a romantic comedy set in a café in three intimate short acts that suit to any appetite and heart’s de luxe.

PASTELILLO is the appetizing encounter of The Waiter (Gerhard Pagunsan) and The Model (Lisette Baldeviso) which smacks of the sweet and sour beginnings of an incidental meeting of two strangers. The crust indeed is not the same without the filling so one can never judge the canapé until through.

In marriage, it’s what’s on the bread, not the bread. SMOKED PORK RIBS flaunts the saucy affair between The Professor (Kim Villaluna) and The Socialite (Betsy Gazo) with the latter’s dealings with her fettiness in marriage cookbook with The Engineer. Life’s just too full of surprises one will never know what it’s like with a curious bite.

A proposal gone sour is stirred in CINNAMON ICE CREAM when two lovers, The Counselor (Nonilon Torpez) and The Policewoman (Althea Mauricio), finally toast for an end to their seven-year commitment over their favorite dessert. Even so, goodbyes can be savvy too like an inviting heavenly sweet treat.

Café Specials is an imperfectly perfect romantic date serving fantastic dining cuisine topped with succulent performance. Bon appétit!
