Both to honor the memory of Andres Bonifacio whose 150 birthday anniversary falls on November 30 and to usher the Christmas season that beacons hearth and home and the spirit of gift giving, BRITTANY, a Vista Land Company in cooperation with Liongoren Gallery present COLORS, FORMS IN GENES, an art exhibit featuring art works of renowned artist families in AVANT at the Fort 26th St., Cor. 3rd Ave. Bonifacio Global City from November 16 to 23, 2012.
The show is a collection of representational and free form sculptures in bronze and wood by National Artist Napoleon Abueva, his son Mulawin, and niece ,potter Lanelle Abueva-Fernando, genre sculptures in brass by the talented brothers Ferdie and Michael Cacnio, in fiberglass by Jun Vicaldo ,2011 Awardee of Metrobank Prize for Achievement in Sculpture and his daughter Erline, an FEU Architecture graduate, figurative paintings in different media by the brilliant De Pios , Gig Sr., Simkin, Gig Jr., Paolo and wife Aileen Lanuza, acrylics by esteemed senior artist Angel Cacnio, abstract paintings by notable modernists Alfredo Liongoren and former UP College of Fine Arts Dean Nestor Olarte Vinluan, with their equally gifted children working in different media Erik and Avid Liongoren, and Liv Vinluan and the multi-awarded Samson brothers of Antipolo, Jerson, Julius and Rey, all painters of inimitable style.
There will be an on-the-spot portrait sketching session from 2:00pm to 6:00pm on the opening day by the participating artists. Part of the proceeds of the event will go to Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines Inc.
