Small Singapore Show
A group exhibition by The Artists Village

Artists from a small country exhibit small works in a small gallery space. A show that seemingly goes against the grain of a traveling show.

Small Singapore Show showcases works by members of The Artists Village. These works contemplate the notion of smallness. They reflect a matter of fact: Singapore is a small nation. The artists are provided with a relatively small space that both constrains and challenges their imagination. The meanings of "small" are various, and may or may not be connected merely with Singapore.

Small Singapore Show aims to utilize minimal resources while dealing with the difficulties of exhibiting away from the homeland. It indirectly advocates the significance of a small show. Notwithstanding such circumstances, the presenting artists strive to create works that transcend the constructed framework. Working through various mediums, they present critical works that speak volumes about the small things in life.
