July 5, 2014, Saturday, 9am-6pm
Artery Art Space

"Unusual Suspects" is a gathering of artists, craftspeople, educators, and entrepreneurs that make work far from the mainstream through a variety of smart and creative practices. "Unusual Suspects" looks into alternative production that turns goods and services found in the common market into works of art.

9:30am-11:00am Creative Movement Class by Ea Torrado (reserve your spot!)
A sensory-based movement class that heightens mind and body awareness and enables a safe and meditative environment that conditions the body, relieves stress and allows creative, instinctive and liberating movements to arise from an individual. It uses movement as meditation, and meditation through movement.

4-5:30pm Casual Conversation/Meet and Greet
A friendly get-together and discussion on the divide between art, craft, and design. Meet artists/groups such as: 98B, DiscLab, The Office of Culture and Design, Rubber Ducky Co., and others. Moderated by Thea Garing

6:00 pm The Sleepyheads
This proudly Pinoy indie folk-punk trio—John Jayvee del Rosario (vocals, drums, composition), Erick Encinares (bass, production, composition) and Rico Entico (guitar) create songs that are intimate, fiercely poetic and deceptively meticulous—tackle everything from brokenhearted miseries to social alienation to warding off the disillusionment, chaos and decay that comes with modern urban life.
